Tai'an promotes its development in Jinan
The Tai'an Economic Cooperation Fair kicked off in Jinan, Shandong province on March 29, focusing on high-quality development, major project recruitment, and high-level opening-up.
In 2022, Tai'an ranked top in the province in 14 of the 18 major economic indicators, including regional gross domestic product (GDP), investment in fixed assets, total retail sales of social consumer goods, and total import and export value.
Since last year, Tai'an has given priority to high-quality development and the building of a new industrialized city to create a modern industrial system, said Yang Hongtao, Party secretary of Tai'an at the conference.
According to official data, Tai'an commenced construction for a total of 125 projects in the first quarter of the year, with a total investment of 58.24 billion yuan ($8.4 billion). Of which, 117 are new industrialization projects, receiving a total investment of 55.62 billion yuan.
