Pear blossoms draw numerous visitors to Tai'an

Snow white pear flowers are entering their peak bloom period in an ancient pear garden in Xiazhang town, Tai'an, Shandong province, attracting numerous visitors to admire the dazzling scenery.
Xiazhang town's pear garden is located on the important road used by the emperors on the west side of Mount Tai that they used to worship the mountain.
Most of the pear trees in the garden are between 200 and 300 years old.
"We have been receiving a large number of visitors recently, and the number of diners has increased by about 50 percent compared to the same period last year," said Huo Yuxin, an owner of an agritainment base in Xiazhang town.
With the increase in pear blossom admiration trips, restaurants, homestays, and agricultural products stalls around the ancient pear garden are enjoying spillover economic boosts.
