A conference to promote Tai'an's new forms of cultural tourism in 2023 was held in Tai'an, Shandong province on March 14, and attracted over 200 attendees from nationally renowned tourism companies and research institutions.

Taking the robust recovery of tourism as an opportunity, Tai'an aims to promote the integrated development of its cultural tourism industry by holding promotional events to introduce its tourist attractions, homestays, and characteristic tourism resources.

For example, Dongpinghu Cultural Tourism Development (Shandong) Group Co introduced and promoted its Yellow River cultural tourism resources at the conference. Tai'an Excellent Tourism Promotion Association introduced its tourism programs and resources, such as the homestays.

Tai'an's local travel agencies signed contracts with travel operators and online travel agencies at the conference to exchange tourism recourses and expand tourism markets to boost Tai'an's tourism industry.

Statistics show that from Jan 1 to March 12, Mount Tai, a UNESCO natural and cultural heritage site, has received 1.48 million visitors, an increase of 324.47 percent year-on-year, and a new record high.
