A Mount Tai Shigandang-themed cultural park, which is located in Tai'an, Shandong province, will open to the public soon, local media reported on Feb 9.
As a national major tourism project focusing on historical and folk cultures, the park will offer visitors a novel cultural and tourism experience featuring Mount Tai characteristics.
Covering over 33.33 hectares, the park consists of various cultural programs to integrate fun with the promotion of Shigandang culture. Legend has it that in ancient times, people set up a stone carved with three characters "Shigandang" in front of their houses to ward off evil spirits.
The park is also designed to show scenes of ancient towns, commercial streets, and customs to offer an immersive experience to visitors.
The cultural park is a project that explores new ideas of integrated development of culture and tourism.
It is designed to meet visitors' diverse needs of eating, shopping, accommodation, and travelling, and is able to accomodate up to 40,000 people every day.
