Tai'an's GDP reaches 319.81b yuan in 2022

Tai'an's gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 319.81 billion yuan ($47.16 billion) in 2022, an increase of 4.3 percent from the previous year, according to the local statistics authority.

The added values of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries were 35.09 billion yuan, 128.6 billion yuan, and 156.13 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 4.7 percent, 6.8 percent, and 2.3 percent year-on-year.

The added value of industries above designated size in 2022 increased 9 percent from the previous year. Twenty-three out of 37 industry categories posted increases.

Statistics also showed that Tai'an's fixed-asset investment rose 17.4 percent in 2022.

Tai'an's total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industries reached 69.41 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6 percent from the previous year, and the total retail sales of consumer goods hit 116.19 billion yuan in 2022.

Tai'an's construction industry posted stable growth in 2022, ranking third among Shandong cities. Its total output value in 2022 reached 127.29 billion yuan.

The city's total import and export value hit 40.59 billion yuan, surging 39.5 percent from the previous year, ranking second in the province in terms of growth rate.

In addition, investment in economies featuring new technologies, new industries, new business forms, and new models increased 31.4 percent and accounted for 51.3 percent of the total investment. Investment in advanced technology industries surged 74 percent during the same period.

In 2022, the per capita disposable income of residents in Tai'an was 35,260 yuan, up 5.2 percent year-on-year. Specifically, the figure for urban residents was 43,435 yuan, up 4.1 percent, 23,149 yuan for rural residents, up 6.3 percent.

Tai'an's general public budget revenue in 2022 reached 22.27 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7 percent.
