Tai'an announced its top 50 private companies in 2022 at a conference held on Dec 28.

Tai'an's top 50 private companies generated a total revenue of 253.06 billion yuan ($36.26 billion) in 2022, and the revenue of seven private companies exceeded 10 billion yuan.

Shandong Shiheng Special Steel Group Co topped the list of private companies with its revenue increasing by 12 billion yuan from that in 2021.

The top 50 companies include 32 manufacturing companies, 11 construction companies, two leasing and business services companies, one mining company, one information services company, and one financial company.

Among the 50 companies, 12 companies were recognized as national-level "little giant" companies (innovative small and medium-sized companies that specialize in niche sectors), and 18 were recognized as Shandong provincial-level "gazelle" companies (young and fast-growing companies).

The companies are located in different districts, with seven companies in Taishan district, two companies in Daiyue district, five in Xintai, 16 in Feicheng, seven in Ningyang county, three in Dongping county, and 10 in high-tech industrial development zone.
