China Mobile (Tai'an) held a launch ceremony for its 5G data center project on Dec 15.
With a total investment of 600 million yuan ($86.05 million), the data center plans to have an installed capacity of 1,000 standard racks to meet the total bandwidth customer capacity of 100G or more, which is expected to greatly improve the development potential of Tai'an's information industry.
Tai'an has been beefing up its efforts to promote the development of 5G, data centers, the industrial internet and other new key infrastructures, and has built a total of more than 10,000 5G stations in recent years.
Tai'an has eight typical 5G application cases that have won awards in 5G application competitions, and two application scenarios were selected as provincial 5G and industrial internet integrated excellent cases.
