Farmers busy harvesting radishes in Tai'an

Farmers have started harvesting an area of over 2 hectares of radishes at a radish planation base in Hebei village, Fangcheng town, Xintai, Tai'an, Shandong province ahead of the upcoming Minor Snow, which is the 20th solar term of the year.

The local radish is not very expensive, and it is rich in vitamins and other nutrients to make it beneficial for people's diets.

Every 666.67 square meter yields about 5 tons of radishes and generate 200,000 yuan ($28,436.31) in income for roughly 50 local farmers per year.
