Tai'an insists on new industrialization empowerment
According to recent statistics, the industrial enterprises above designated size in Tai'an in Shandong province achieved an operation revenue of 141.8 billion yuan ($21 billion) from January to June, an increase of 7.6 percent year-on-year.
The total profit of which was 8.74 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8 percent, ranking third in the province.
Tai'an has been bolstering its efforts to strengthen its industrial chains and aims to empower the city with industries.
The city has been developing four pillar industries – manufacturing of high-end equipment, new materials, modern food, and high-end chemicals, four advantageous industries – new energy, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, publication and printing, textiles and apparel, as well as future industries such as the digital economy.
The city has also been beefing up its efforts to cultivate 13 key industrial chains, which has led to the development of the city's industrial chains.
This year, Tai'an had three characteristic industrial clusters – lithium new materials, intelligent lifting machinery, and fiberglass – included in the provincial characteristic industrial clusters.
In order to promote the integrated development of large, medium, and small-sized enterprises as well as the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, Tai'an also adheres to the echelon cultivation of enterprises and increases investment in technological transformation.
Tai'an will steadfastly stick to its plan to bolster the city through new industrialization, focusing primarily on high-end, intelligent, and environmentally friendly development in order to create new competitive advantages, energize enterprises, and support new growth drivers.
