Lily flower festival kicks off in Tai'an
A lily flower festival kicked off in Xintai, a county-level city in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province, attracting more than 1,000 visitors.
The festival was held at a local lily flower industrial complex with more than 12,000 mu (800 hectares) of lily plants planted. The complex has developed a complete chain integrating lily flower planting, processing, delivery, and sightseeing. The booming lily flower industry has helped increased locals’ income.
In addition to admiring a sea of lily flowers, a series of activities are also being held during the festival where visitors can taste lily flower snacks and enjoy cultural performances. An agro-product exhibition and a photography exhibition are also being held.
