A bird nest installment campaign was carried out on Mount Tai Scenic Area in order to provide more habitats for wild birds.
Technicians have received training on how to correctly install an artificial bird nest before starting work.
A total of 1,200 artificial nests were installed, providing more homes for birds in the breeding season.
The artificial nests can offer breeding and living places for a variety of birds including tomtits and owls. They have proven to be a good way to attract more birds and improve the natural environment.
To increase the occupancy rate of artificial nests, it is necessary to install them in appropriate places in the forest before the breeding season of wild birds. The best time to do so is before the end of February.
