The 2020 Mount Tai Culture and Art Festival kicked off on Sept 12 in Tai'an, Shandong province.

The event will launch a series of cultural activities including photography exhibition, artistic performances to further enrich the cultural life of local residents.

The photography exhibition will collect 1,100 artworks from 150 photographers to display the city’s economic achievements, natural scenery, folk culture and ecological protection.

An exhibition featuring intangible cultural heritage will be held at the city’s culture and art square from Sept 19 to 23 offering residents a chance to learn how to make the traditional handcrafts.

Touring activities will be held from later September to mid-October in counties and districts of the city including Xintai, Feicheng, Ningyang and Dongping.
