The Taishan district government and Hangzhou Urban Construction Development Group signed an agreement on Dec 25 to promote renovation of two old residential districts in Taishan district of Tai'an.

Wang Aixin, head of Taishan district government, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony.

Wang said that in recent years, Taishan district has attached great importance to urban construction and management to improve local living environment. The district has also improved its transportation infrastructure.

Urban villages are often characterized by bad environmental and sanitation conditions, shortage of public services, and frequent public security cases.

Wang said that within two years, 26 urban villages will be renovated to improve urban environment, public management and life quality.

Wang added that the cooperation will play an important role in accelerating the reconstruction of the old residential areas, improving the city image and promoting high-quality development.

She expressed hoped that Hangzhou Urban Construction Development Group would give full play to its advantages and build the project as a model.
