The 2022 China International Travel Mart (CITM) kicked off in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on July 22, and East China's Shandong province promoted its "Friendly Shandong" tourism brand at the three-day event.
The event was held from July 22 to 24, and jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Yunnan Provincial People's Government. Tourism practitioners from more than 70 countries and regions around the world took part in the exhibition.
Covering a total exhibition area of 300 square meters, the Shandong pavilion was set up under the theme "Experience the New Friendly Shandong", and promoted Shandong's new culture and tourism products such as its profound historical heritages, and brilliant and gorgeous Qilu culture.
A large number of well-known scenic spots in the province, such as the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu, the Mount Tai scenic area in Tai'an, Lyu Ancient City in Rizhao, and the Qi Heritage Museum in Linzi, launched new tourism products with rich content and distinctive features to attract visitors.
Visitors also had a chance to experience traditional and diverse Shandong culture at the intangible cultural heritage hall, such as hanfu - traditional Chinese clothing, traditional Chinese realistic paintings, and Lu (Shandong) embroidery.
