Shandong promotes culture, tourism products in Hohhot
East China's Shandong province held a culture and tourism promotion event in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 16.
Inner Mongolia and Shandong are nourished by the Yellow River, and they are geographically connected. Both of the two places enjoy similar folk customs, integrated cultures and deep friendships. Shandong boasts many high-quality culture and tourism products, and the province welcomes visitors from Inner Mongolia to experience "Friendly Shandong", according to Wang Chunsheng, an official from the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
At the promotion event, Shandong launched a wide range of online and offline activities, and displayed the province's diversified culture and tourism resources to local tourism agencies. The two parties also signed a cooperation framework agreement, and reached a basic agreement to launch two themed tourism products, which aim to promote the fast recovery of the two places' culture and tourism sectors, which were hit hard by the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year.
Tourism enterprises from the two places also signed cooperative agreements at the event, noting that they will deepen cooperation in various fields, which include self-guided and academic research tours.
Shandong also announced a slew of stimulus measures at the event, such as granting free tickets to students who took this year's college entrance exam or high school entrance exam.
