385 A-level scenic spots in Shandong resume operation

As the COVID-19 epidemic fades in East China's Shandong province, a total of 385 A-level outdoor scenic spots have reopened as of April 13, according to the provincial culture and tourism department.

Local authorities said that as the five-day May Day holiday approaches, more scenic areas will be reopened while still ensuring the safety and health of tourists.

The tourist sites that have resumed operations are prohibited from exceeding 50 percent of their maximum visitor capacities, and non-contact methods such as mobile payment, e-tickets and guide machines should be promoted to avoid cross-infection. They are also asked to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures.

Tourist sites are expected to encourage tourists to make reservations in advance online and complete real-name registration in order to control visitor flows and prevent huge crowds. At tourist sites, strict epidemic control measures have been implemented, including temperature checks and regular disinfection.

In Yantai, the Penglai Pavilion has established a tight and comprehensive system for epidemic prevention and control, which includes real-time monitoring and advanced detection.
