Annual ceramics expo kicks off in Zibo
The 21st China (Zibo) International Ceramics Exposition kicked off on Nov 29 in the city of Zibo – situated in East China's Shandong province – an event which will last until Dec 6.
More than 200 enterprises and 300 ceramic experts at the national and provincial levels participated in the expo's opening.
Five overseas ceramic brands, more than 50 enterprises from other provinces and cities and over 100 experts from the six main ceramic production areas in China have gathered in Zibo to show their wares. They are from Jingdezhen in Jiangxi province, Liling in Hunan province, Dehua in Fujian province, Tangshan in Hebei province, Yixing in Jiangsu province and Baofeng in Henan province.
The awards for the Qilu Cup Industrial Design Competition, the third China (Zibo) Ceramic and Colored Glaze Innovative Design Competition – and the finals for the Seventh National Ceramic Industry Vocational Skills Competition – were held at the opening ceremony.
A set of ceramic cups and lids and a colored glaze tea ware – fashioned as municipal gifts – debuted at the expo.
In addition, live-streaming and interactive sessions involving online users are being staged at this expo.
