Tag Art Museum in West Coast New Area opens
The Tag Art Museum in the Qingdao West Coast New Area opened to the public on Aug 12.

Designed by famous French architect Jean Nouvel, the art museum has 12 exhibition halls built along the coast. Spanning an area of 5,837.5 square meters, the art museum has a main building area of 17,000 sq m.
Located on the southern bank of Tangdao Bay, the non-profit art institution will present to the public a variety of art forms, including classic and contemporary creations, fashion and design, as well as music and performance works.

The first exhibition of the art museum, titled Beyond, opened to the public on Aug 12. Curated by Fan Dian, president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and president of the China Artists Association, and Zhang Zikang, curator of the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, the exhibition includes the works of 14 leading domestic and foreign artists. Most of the works are on show for the first time in China.
The exhibition will run till Jan 6, 2022.
