Three cultural and tourism events, namely the 2021 World Peony Conference, the 30th Heze International Peony Culture Tourism Festival, and the 2021 Heze Cultural Tourism Development Conference, will soon kick off in Heze, Shandong province.

According to a news conference held by the information office of the Heze municipal people's government, the 30th Heze International Peony Culture Tourism Festival will be held from April 1 to May 10, and the opening ceremony will be held on April 9.

Heze is the country's largest peony base with more than 1,200 varieties and a long history of cultivation.

A total of 134 activities, including culture and tourism promotions, exhibitions, sports activities, forums, and business promotions, will be held during the annual festival.

The main venue for the World Peony Congress 2021 will be located in Heze, Shandong province, while a branch venue will be located in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The conference will last from April 8 to 13.

The conference, supported by the Shandong Provincial People's Government, will include one forum, four professional sub-forums, one peony flower contest, and a peony industry exhibition.

The 2021 Heze Cultural Tourism Development Conference, the first part of the event, will be held from April 8 to 10 in Heze.

A video promoting Heze and the city's culture and tourism integration development plan (2021-2030) will be released during the event, and a series of activities will be launched to promote the city's rich and unique culture and tourism attractions.
