Shandong attends ITB Berlin via online channels
The province of Shandong in East China promoted its unique ice and snow tourism resources, cultural products and intangible cultural heritages at the ITB Berlin via online channels from March 9 to 12.
Created in 1966, international travel trade show ITB Berlin is one of the most powerful B2B platforms in the industry. This year, affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the latest edition went online for the first time.
According to the organizing committee, about 65,700 users, among whom two-thirds are from abroad, took part in the digital event.
According to the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attending the event helps lay a foundation for the recovery of the inbound tourism market as the pandemic wanes, as well as contribute to the province's efforts in promoting local cultural and tourism resources overseas.
Shandong-based travel agencies and cultural institutions also took part in the event.
