The Haibei-Shandong cultural exchange event, which lasts from Dec 6 and 13, offers Shandong audiences the chance to explore the folk culture of the Haibei Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Northwest China's Qinghai province.

Performers from Haibei will stage shows involving morin khuur music, Tibetan opera and folk songs in Shandong cities of Jinan, Weihai, and Linyi.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Shandong province's support in Haibei Tibetan autonomous prefecture's development.

The event, jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, is designed to promote the rich and diverse ethnic culture of Haibei, as well as enhance the friendship between the two sides, according to the organizers.
