Yantai tops China's most featured tourism cities
Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, ranked first among the most featured tourist cities in China, according to a list released by the China Institute of City Competitiveness.
Other cities appearing on the list include Yangzhou in Jiangsu province, Huangshan in Anhui province and Luoyang in Henan province, which were recognized for their unique tourism resources and distinctive history and culture.
A pearl shining on the eastern Shandong Peninsula, Yantai is home to some fantastic coastal scenery with its shimmering blue seas, clear skies, radiant sunshine, golden beaches, stunning off-shore islands and fresh seafood and wine.
Surrounded by the mountains and sea, the city is blessed with a picturesque landscape and four distinct seasons. It is a vibrant and beautiful coastal city, which makes it a great place to live.
