An exhibition featuring Chinese landscape paintings by young local painter Wu Qing opened on July 6 at the Tai'an Art Museum in Tai'an, Shandong province.

A total of 25 works are on display, which are drawn by Wu in recent years.

Wu, born in Xintai, a county-level city of Tai'an, graduated from Shandong Normal University. He is now a member of Shandong Artists Association and a member of Shandong Youth Artists Association.

A group of painters, artists and sketching lovers witnessed the opening ceremony and attended a forum focused on the creation of paintings.

Organized by the Tai'an Art Museum, the exhibition is part of the city's cultural institutions' efforts to discover and promote young local artists and display their creation and pursuit of art, in a bid to boost the development of local fine art business.

Since the project's launch in 2018, a total of 10 painters have been recommended, providing a platform for exchange as well as playing an active role in discovering and reserving outstanding young art talents.

The exhibition will last until Aug 6.
