National exhibition of female artists opens in Jinan
The curtain was raised for a national exhibition of female artists at the Jinan Art Museum on March 11 in Jinan, capital city of Shandong province, in a gesture of appreciation for female artists' achievements and continuing exploration of art creation as well as to celebrate International Women's Day.
Jointly organized by Shandong Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Shandong Artists Association and Jinan Art Museum, the exhibition will last until March 20, gathering about 100 paintings produced by 34 female Chinese artists, with diverse topics, styles, and formalities, revealing the unique artistic language, exquisite painting techniques and humanistic sensibilities of female artists.
Nearly 1,000 distinguished guests from the Shandong University of Art and Design, the province's culture departments, the province's art circle, and the press attended the opening ceremony held on March 11.
