Qingdao Art Museum is a magnificent building featuring the styles of Roman stoa, Chinese Palace and Arabian architectures. The historical and cultural museum is also a beautiful cityscape of Qingdao. Its construction was started in 1934 and completed in 1940.
The museum covers a floor area of 14,183 square meters and a total construction area of 4,108 square meters. It is composed of three sections, Roman exhibition hall, Palace hall (including the eastern and western halls) and Islamic hall.
The Roman exhibition hall, with 22 rooms on two floors, mainly exhibits oil paintings, watercolor paintings, gouache paintings and photography artworks.
The two-story Islamic Hall is mainly for Chinese paintings exhibition.
