A competition was held in Shandong to select antiques that can best represent the province. A guide contest is underway in the meantime. The competition was held in response to President Xi Jinping's call to tell stories about China and promote Chinese culture with relics. It was organized by the provincial publicity and cultural departments, TV station and bureau of cultural heritage.

A total of 319 entries that have gone through expert review will be displayed at www.iqilu.com. Netizens are invited to choose 100 out of them with experts as “Shandong Treasures”.

The events are expected to showcase the province's cultural legacies and enhance their popularity and influence.
