The Ruiyuan Holdings 2024 Qingdao West Coast Half Marathon kicked off in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) on May 19, drawing 15,000 runners from across the country.
This year's event continued to use the classic race course, which linked the area's natural landscapes. It passed through the main tourism area of the Qingdao WCNA, allowing participants to enjoy the mountain and seaside scenery as well as the local culture while running.

After intense competition, Wu Shuyu from Linyi, Shandong province clinched first place in the men's race with a time of 1:08:06, while athlete Xun Nayun, from Shangdong's Weihai city finished first in the women's category with a time of 1:18:03.
"This is my first time participating in the Qingdao West Coast Half Marathon. The course here is very beautiful and the overall experience was great. I'm happy with my results," shared Xun.
The Qingdao West Coast Half Marathon, launched by Qingdao WCNA, is intended to promote local sports. It meets the growing fitness needs of the public, integrates cultural and tourist attraction, and drives consumption.
