The working committee of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area, or Qingdao FTZ, held a meeting on Oct 16 to study the report of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) delivered at the opening of the 20th CPC National Congress.
Officials in the Qingdao FTZ had gathered to watch the livestream of the opening of the congress, which was held on Oct 16 in Beijing, before the meeting and agreed that the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress shall be their primary political task from now on.
They also pledged to transform what they've studied into practical results, and strive for more achievements in institutional innovation.
Sui Bin, deputy director of Qingdao FTZ's administrative committee, said that the report pointed out that China will promote high-level opening-up and steadily expand opening-up on the institutional level in terms of rules, regulations, management, and standards. In the next step, Qingdao FTZ will engage in bold trials and experiments to advance reform and opening-up and promote high-quality development.
