The China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area, or Qingdao FTZ, recently released 19 measures in a bid to become a talent hub.
According to the measures, Qingdao FTZ will offer living subsidies of up to 6 million yuan ($887,852.52) for newly-introduced and cultivated high-level talents such as top and leading talents.
Subsidies and supporting services will be provided to urgently needed personnel, and young talents will be granted additional living subsidies. Comprehensive subsidies or one-time rewards will be issued for highly skilled personnel and specialized talents.
Living subsidies will also be offered to foreign talents, high-level talents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas returnees.
To improve talent services, the area also classified talents into categories A, B, C, D and E, and corresponding tax, education, medical care and housing services will be provided to them.
