Weihai, a stunning coastal city in East China's Shandong province, is holding a large-scale event to promote its unique culture, picturesque landscapes, and tasty cuisine.

Jointly organized by the Weihai publicity department and the Weihai culture and tourism bureau, the event invites mainstream media outlets, senior photographers, social media influencers and netizens to explore the city's cultural and tourism resources, including fashion blocks, landmarks, cultural venues, scenic spots, delicacies and intangible cultural heritages.

According to local officials, more than 100 new media platforms have participated in the event, helping promote the city’s brand and increase its international profile.

The event will last until Dec 31.
