Jining's foreign trade volume booms in 2022

In 2022, Jining's foreign trade volume reached 84.82 billion yuan ($12.58 billion), up 25 percent year-on-year, 11.2 percentage points higher than the province's average. Exports and imports amounted to 63.79 billion yuan and 21.03 billion yuan, respectively, up 31.4 percent and 8.9 percent year-on-year.

Last year, the general trade in Jining reached 75.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 89.4 percent. Foreign trade involving the processing of supplied raw materials reached 8.08 billion yuan, soaring 43.8 percent year-on-year.

In 2022, the foreign trade volume of private enterprises reached 67.42 billion yuan, up 28.6 percent year-on-year, 3.6 percentage points higher than the average of all types of enterprises, and the foreign trade volume of foreign-invested enterprises and State-owned enterprises increased by 8 percent and 26.2 percent, respectively.

At the same time, trade with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) members, Brazil and emerging economies increased 38.2 percent, 62.6 percent and 92.1 percent, respectively, year-on-year, and trade with Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) members increased 25.5 percent year-on-year.

During the period, Jining's exports mainly consisted of mechanical and electrical products, labor-intensive products and agricultural products, increasing 42.8 percent, 29.7 percent and 10.9 percent, respectively, year-on-year.

Jining's imports in 2022 mainly consisted of paper pulp, natural and synthetic rubber, coal and plastic products, increasing 28 percent, 19.2 percent, 15.1 percent and 19.1 percent, respectively, year-on-year.
