The Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Forum 2021, as well as the 1st Digitalized Intelligent Manufacturing Expo kicked off in Jining, East China’s Shandong province on July 27.

Organized by the Shandong Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Jining municipal government, as well as the China Center for Information Industry Development, the three-day event aims to explore new paths for the development of the smart manufacturing industry.

A signing ceremony for 15 manufacturing and technological innovation projects was held during the event, which is expected to help traditional industries in Jining make the transition to innovation-driven growth. With a total of 6.14 billion yuan ($940 million) in investment, the projects involve a number of sectors, such as robot vacuum cleaners, industrial robots, and high-end precision machinery manufacturing.

At the 1st Digitalized Intelligent Manufacturing Expo, which was held in Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, a total of 118 industry-leading companies from across the country displayed their solutions and products related to smart factories, smart transportation, industrial automation, as well as the industrial internet of things. A variety of creations, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and industrial robots, are being showcased at the expo.

Several other activities, including a matchmaking session and the 20th China University Robot Competition, are scheduled to take place during the event.
