Yantai in East China's Shandong province has added two new destinations to its cultural tourism map, both recently designated as national 3A-level tourist attractions. These sites offer visitors a choice between modern coastal excitement and historical tradition.

One of the attractions is Xiangdao Bay in Laiyang, a comprehensive, year-round coastal resort. It features a major winter ice and snow carnival, extensive indoor and outdoor children's play areas, and activities like kart boating and off-roading for the adventurous.
For a more relaxed experience, visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the wedding manor, pink sand beach, and comfortable accommodations ranging from boutique hotels to unique "space capsule" lodgings. The park offers free entry with separate fees for specific attractions.

The second attraction is Guanqianhouxu village in Longkou's Huangshanguan town. The village, dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), remains well-preserved to this day, immersing visitors in a unique historical ambience with its grey-brick houses, quiet ancient alleyways, and the former residence of the revered revolutionary hero, Xu Jingxin.
The serene atmosphere is complemented by century-old trees, a scenic lake, and interactive experiences like fruit picking and traditional farming workshops. Admission to the village is free.
After their 3A recognition, the two destinations are set to provide an even richer experience, catering to travelers seeking either vibrant family fun or a peaceful link to the region's past.
