Born in January 1977, Shen Jian is of Han ethnicity and a member of the Communist Party of China. Shen holds a master's degree in business administration. He is the deputy secretary-general of the People's Government of Shandong province, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, vice mayor of Yantai, and the leader of the 11th batch of Aid-Xizang Cadres Work Team from Shandong province.
