Loaded with 84 pieces of high-end equipment, including precision instruments, the carrier Xin Zhong Rui 17 set off from Yantai Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) for Vietnam, marking the official launch of a new general cargo route connecting Yantai and Vietnam.
The route brings Yantai Port's total number of international general cargo routes to 28, strengthening its network of shipping services to expedite cargo aggregation.
Yantai Port, as a pivotal gateway linking Japan and South Korea in the east to Eurasia in the west, is tapping into the policy advantages of the Belt and Road Initiative, the official enforcement of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and the Yantai area of ShandongPilot Free Trade Zone.
Responding swiftly to a hinterland enterprise's export requirements for precision instruments, Yantai Port designed an end-to-end logistics solution for the customer, covering route planning, vessel chartering, short-haul trucking, port storage, cargo stowage, and transshipment. This proactive approach culminated in the launch of a shipping route between Yantai and Vietnam, adding another highly efficient maritime expressway for trade exchanges between East Asia and Southeast Asia.
"It only takes two hours to drive from our company to the port. This makes logistics extremely convenient. Moreover, the Zhifu Bay port area of Yantai Port is equipped with a 1.32-million-square-meter dedicated general cargo yard, alleviating our storage constraints," said the client representative.
