The Shandong Business Institute has recently launched "Jianyi Tuling", China's first generative paper-cutting product based on the private deployment of DeepSeek, showcasing a fusion of ancient culture with technological innovation.
Leveraging artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) technology, the project utilizes Chinese and English recognition techniques to optimize keywords through the DeepSeek interface, efficiently generating creative content related to the art of paper-cutting.
"By accessing the 'Jianyi Tuling' WeChat mini-program, users can input prompts to generate patterns for paper-cutting," shared Tian Hua, one of the participating teachers.
With the guidance of paper-cutting artists, the research team integrated over 40,000 paper-cutting patterns into the backend database, establishing a robust data foundation. Both the image dataset and AI models are protected by original copyrights.
"Our team aims to harness technology to promote the aesthetic education and preservation of paper-cutting art, allowing more people to appreciate the distinctive allure of intangible cultural heritage," said project leader Gao Xiaoyan.
