A delegation led by Aren B. Palik, vice-president of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), visited Yantai from March 22 to 24.

The delegation visited Dongfang Electronics Corporation and held in-depth discussions with the company's leadership. Palik praised the company's overall solutions for smart power distribution networks and photovoltaic power generation, and both parties agreed to cooperate in the future.

Yantai has a long history of exchanges with the Federated States of Micronesia, dating back to 2008, when then-president Emanuel Mori of the Federated States of Micronesia visited Yantai to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in agriculture, marine fisheries, and other sectors.

Last year, the two sides ushered in a new chapter in their collaborative efforts, with the current president of the FSM visiting Yantai, and a friendship and cooperation agreement signed between Yantai and Kolonia city.
