Born in 1970, Han Yaodong is a male of Han ethnicity. Han graduated from the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC. He is currently vice-mayor of Yantai , Shandong province, and also a member of the city's municipal Party committee.

Han is currently responsible for government affairs related to science and technology, industry and informatization, market supervision, commerce, ports, foreign affairs, pilot free trade zones, emergency management, and industrial chains.

Han is also in charge of government affairs such as the development and construction of industrial parks, the planning and construction of the Dual-carbon Smart Valley (clean energy), and the integration and improvement of non-coal mines. He is also responsible for food and drug safety and the safety of industrial and supply chains.
