The traditional Chinese solar calendar contains 24 solar terms. Cold Dew, (Chinese: 寒露), the 17th solar term of the year, begins this year on Oct 8 and ends on Oct 23.
During this period, temperatures are much lower in most areas of China. The dew is greater and colder and there will be less rain. This period is also when autumn crops are ready for harvest.
The arrival of Cold Dew also means that Yantai in East China's Shandong province is experiencing its most beautiful season. Check out the stunning views in the city in this video!
