The Changyu Wine Culture Museum in Yantai was built by Changyu Group in 1992 and opened to the public in 2002.
The museum is now a national 4A tourist scenic spot, and a must-see attraction for wine enthusiasts. Featuring an extensive collection of wine-related artifacts, the museum provides a fascinating glimpse into the history and culture of wine-making both in China and around the world.
Covering a total exhibition area of nearly 2,000 square meters, the museum is equipped with high-end technologies, and showcases visitors the development history of Chinese wine industry and Changyu Group, China's oldest maker of wine and brandy.
Changyu Group was founded by diplomat Chang Bishi in 1892. In 1894, Chang built the biggest wine cellar in Asia. With a history of over 120 years, Changyu Group has grape-growing areas spanning more than 16,000 hectares.
At the Changyu Wine Culture Museum, visitors can taste classic wines and learn about wine tasting. There are also new installations like a "brewing university" that visitors can experience.
