The projects cover new materials, high-end industries, scientific innovation, infrastructure and livelihood improvement.
China Resources Holdings will set up an industrial park producing high-end synthetic materials in the Huang-Bohai New Area in Yantai, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan. The park will produce high-end nylon products with wear and high-temperature resistance, which will be used in sectors such as aerospace materials, high-end medical instruments, automobiles and precision electronic parts. Local authorities said that the park is expected to have an annual output value of 10 billion yuan once fully operational, and to become a leading high-end synthetic materials research and development and manufacturing base in the country.
Construction of a nuclear heat transmission pipe network started in the county-level city of Haiyang in Yantai on Feb 14. The pipeline will connect Yantai with Weihai with a 23-kilometer main transport pipe, and the total investment in the project has reached up to 700 million yuan. The project also includes a heat source distribution center that will apply intelligent scheduling management and a control platform for parameter monitoring, said its operator State Power Investment Corp.
According to statistics released by the Yantai Development and Reform Commission, the city will launch 537 key projects, including 400 construction projects with a combined investment of 1.2 trillion yuan.
This year, the city will make continuous efforts to promote the development of key industries and high-end manufacturing. More investment will be directed to industrial upgrades, fine-tuning urban infrastructure, livelihood improvement, and ecological and environmental optimization.
