China's first two offshore satellites were successfully launched from a launch platform in the Yellow Sea of the coast of Haiyang, Yantai in East China's Shandong province on Oct 7.
The CentiSpace-S5/S6 test satellites with the LEO satellite navigation enhancement system were carried by a Long March-11 carrier rocket at 9:10 pm (Beijing Time) and successfully entered their planned orbit.

Haiyang also seized the significant opportunity presented by the successful satellite launches, hosting the Oriental Aerospace Port Industry Development Conference on Oct 8 in conjunction with a number of business conferences and project signing events.
Government officials and industry leaders participated in the event to express their opinions on the growth of Haiyang's aerospace industry.
