A wide range of intangible cultural heritage items, and tourism and cultural products from the coastal city of Yantai in East China's Shandong province were on display at the Tourism Development Conference of Shandong 2022, which was held at Nishan Sacred Land, a popular attraction in Jining, from June 26 to 27.
Yantai is a tourist destination, a national historical and cultural city, and a city that boasts a great number of intangible cultural heritage items such as Laizhou straw weaving, Jiaodong paper-cutting art, and Laizhou ink brushes. Currently, the city has eight national-level intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and 43 provincial-level ones. A wide range of Yantai handicrafts were added on the list of the "Shandong Good Products" earlier this year, and 23 Yantai products were included in the first batch of "Shandong Good Products", which has in turn promoted the high-quality development of local brands.
