A launch ceremony for a total of 186 key projects was held in the coastal city of Yantai in Shandong province on June 14, with the main session held in Huang-Bohai New Area and sub sessions held in other districts and county-level cities.

With a total investment of 125.7 billion yuan ($18.77 billion), the projects focus on innovative manufacturing, modern services, and new energy, among other fields.

All of the projects have an investment of more than 5 million yuan, including 21 with an investment of more than 1 billion yuan and 38 with an investment of more than 500 million yuan. They are expected to inject new impetus into the high-quality development of Yantai.
