Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, hosted an online high-level dialogue conference on Aug 17 with Sumitomo Corp and Capital Eco-Pro Group, two leading companies in the field of environmental protection.

The three sides have made deep exchanges in their cooperation projects in Yantai covering solid waste landfill and sewage treatment. Officials of Sumitomo Corp introduced their environmental protection cooperation in Yantai city and Shandong province.

Since the signing of cooperation agreements in 2016, the three sides have maintained close contact with Yantai, said Mu Shuqing, vice-mayor of Yantai, during the conference.

He expresses hope that the three sides would further promote communication, enhance mutual trust and strengthen cooperation through the conference. More efforts are expected to be made to promote the construction of the waste water treatment projects.

Sumitomo Corporation is one of Japan's five largest trading companies and a Fortune Global 500 company. It has maintained a good cooperative relationship with Shandong for a long time. The two sides enjoy strong cooperation in the areas of medical treatment, health care, sewage treatment, smart transportation and infrastructure.

Founded in 1999, Capital Eco-Pro Group, is one of the first listed companies in China engaged in environmental protection. The company has made great contributions to the promotion of environmental protection.
