Yantai begins mass COVID-19 testing campaign

The coastal city of Yantai launched a nucleic acid testing campaign for all residents in Yantai High-tech Zone, Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, as well as Fushan, Laishan, and Zhifu districts on Aug 3.
Local authorities said that they are striving to complete the first round of COVID-19 testing within 48 hours and that more than 21 million people will be included. COVID-19 control and prevention measures were reactivated in the city following the confirmation of four locally transmitted cases since July 31.
