Yantai authorities issued typhoon warnings on July 27 saying that people should keep an eye on the weather change and make reasonable travel arrangements.
Typhoon In-Fa, the sixth typhoon of this year, is expected to enter the southern sea of the Shandong Peninsula around July 30, according to the local meteorological department.
Affected by the typhoon, Yantai will see heavy rainfalls from July 29 to 31. Local authorities warned people to take precautions as most areas in the city will experience a level-7 wind, with a speed of 13 meters per second, while the wind will be stronger at level 8 (20m per second).
The city will initiate emergency responses to keep an eye on the heavy rainfalls brought by Typhoon In-Fa, as well as prepare for pre-warnings and predictions of heavy rains to protect people's lives and property.
