Yantai has been leading the way in pushing the development of clean energy in East China's Shandong province in recent years, taking advantage of its long hours of sunlight to promote the construction of photovoltaic power centers in mountainous areas. By developing clean energy, the city also hopes to expand the green economy and put barren land to good use.
