A series of festive activities will be held in Taojin town, Zhaoyuan, a county-level city in Yantai, Shandong province to celebrate the National Day holiday on Oct 1-8, according to local officials.

Visitors will have the chance to admire chrysanthemums, visit temple fairs and enjoy folk performances, among other fun things.

Each year, Taojin town in Zhaoyuan attracts large numbers of tourists for its gold mining and folk culture.

The buildings are distinctive for their Song Dynasty (420-479) architecture, which also lure lovers of Hanfu, traditional Chinese clothing, to take photos.
