The coastal city of Yantai, Shandong province hosted a conference focusing on culture and tourism in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on July 23 in an effort to promote cooperation and exchanges between the two cities in tourism.
At the conference, Yantai and Nanjing signed an agreement on cultural and tourism cooperation.
The two cities will launch a series of preferential policies, including making high-quality tourist routes, charter flights, and cruise ships, to promote cultural and tourism cooperation between the two places.
A group of popular attractions in Yantai made detailed introductions for attendees, including Penglai Pavilion, Nanshan Mountain Scenic Spot, and the Changyu Wine Culture Museum.
Since the resumption of cross-provincial tourism, Nanjing was the first stop for Yantai to promote its cultural and tourism resources.
Li Ling, deputy director of the Yantai municipal culture and tourism bureau, said that this is due to the difference in regional culture and natural resources between the two places.
The coastal scenery in Yantai and unique Jiangnan landscape (Jiangnan refers to area south of the Yangtze River) in Nanjing will attract people's curiosity to travel.
The convenience of transportation is also an important reason for Yantai choosing Nanjing as its first stop to promote its cultural and tourism resources.
